U-CREW's Energy Assessment Process
Introductory Call
A short 15-minute conversation helps us learn about your facility, answer questions, and confirm eligibility for a no-cost assessment.
Complete the Intake Form
You’ll provide basic details about your operations, energy systems, and key contacts. This helps our team prepare for your on-site visit and tailor our analysis to your needs.
On-Site Assessment
Faculty and student engineers visit your facility to collect data, observe processes, and work directly with your staff to understand current operations and identify opportunities for savings.
Professional Report
After the visit, you’ll receive a detailed report outlining findings, cost estimates, potential savings, and payback periods for each recommendation.
Implementation Survey
After you’ve had time to review and act on the recommendations, our team will reach out to learn which measures were implemented and gather feedback through a brief implementation survey.

The energy assessment conducted through the partnership between the Intermountain ITAC and Weber State University’s ITAC provided valuable insight into our facility’s operations. The team identified areas with potential for improved efficiency and offered a customized set of recommendations tailored to our systems and processes. The information they shared helped us better understand where strategic upgrades could lead to meaningful impact. Programs like this bring valuable technical insight to manufacturers in the region while offering students meaningful exposure to real-world industrial settings.
